Check the owners manual. I have provided a link to one here:

If you go to page 5-50 (pg 302 of the scan), it will tell you step by step with picture on how to do exactly as you ask. You need a phillips screw driver and it should take you less than 15 minutes to complete. On page 5-51 it will tell you what bulbs you need to replace the lamp.
Good luck - this is exactly how you do it if you don't want to go to this instruction page:
1) Open the liftgate
2) Remove the screws from the tailamp assembly
3) Pull the tailamp assembly away from the vehicle
4) Turn the bulb socket counterclockwise to remove it from the assembly.
5) Pull the old bulb straight out of the bulb socket.
6) Press a new bulb into the bulb socket.
7) Insert the bulb socket into the tailamp assembly and turn it clockwise to secure.
8) Reinstall (push) the tailamp assembly into the vehicle and tighten the two screws.

Daihatsu YRV 2001 how do I get to the brake light bulb to change it.?
I cannot find how to remove the light cluster... Thanks
Daihatsu YRV 2001 how do I get to the brake light bulb to change it.?
There should be some sort of crazy twist clamp. then it will pull right out.
Remove wire lock, then its a depress and twist kinda deal..
If its like my ol rice burner its an insane pain, but look at it real hard, it will eventually pop out at ya..(how to get it off i mean.)

I have a 2008 toyota corolla, my brake light is on, what could be the reason?
It seems as though brake fluid is leaking from the left rear wheel. My from brake shoes were changed a few days ago, but my pedal still must be pushed all the way down to stop. Do you have any ideas? I bought my car in july of 2007.

well to start of you said that you own a 2008 corolla if this is correct pretty clever of you because you then go on to say that you purchased the corolla in july 2007 12 months before toyota sold the car ? next you say that you had rear shoes replaced all 2008 corolla have 4 wheel disc 's also if you had the shoes replaced did they then adjust the brakes up and bleed the system of air they should have also check if the rear cyc's had a leak or are you just guessing that there is a leak or did they just replace rear disc pads CHECK THIS OUT FIRST

The left rear wheel cylinder could be bad. There could be air in the brake lines. Fluid level could be a concern. ABS, if you have ABS could be acting up.
There is a stupid little rubber gasket under the break pedal, that, if it wears out or falls off, will prevent the break pedal from coming all the way back out (and thus keeps the break lights on). I had that happen on a Galant once .. might not be at all what you're experiencing, but pull on the break pedal an inch or two and see if the light doesn't go out. It's like a $1 part but cost me a battery until I figured it out. Cheap for a shop to fix if that's what it is .. they'll charge you a buck for the part and maybe $30 to fix it.
fuse is out...
Leaking brake fluid could be a bad hydraulic hose or bad wheel cylinder. If you get the car up in the air and have a closer look at the back of the drum you will be able to see which it is. Wouldn't recommend that you drive the car in the meantime.
If by %26quot;brake light%26quot; you mean the warning light on the instrument panel - and you have fluid leaking from the left rear wheel - the light is trying to tell you that - duh - the fluid is LOW. the pedal being low also is an indicator. probably the fluid is so low that you have air in at least half the brake system. the system is split into to halves as a %26quot;fail safe%26quot; so - you havent lost all your brakes. you need to get some brake fluid and fill the master cylinder. that is the plastic reservoir - usually sort of white in color that is in the engine compartment right in front of the driver. in fact it connects to the brake pedal. you should see fluid in it probably only on one side because it has 2 compartments. snap off the lid and add some fluid up to the max %26quot;line%26quot;. Brake systems must NOT leak. get it to a good repair shop and get the leak fixed - and the system filled and air bled ouit.
Toyota's quality has become deplorable. Everyone chants about the Corolla's reliability. Junk. And America will soon learn this as the new models come out and fail.

HELP! Where is the brake light switch located in 1996 Chevy Suburban 350?
The brake lights on my Chevy Suburban do not work. Someone told me to change the brake light switch but I can't locate it. Does anyone know where it is? Does anyone know where I can find a diagram? I looked in the Chevy book and it doesn't explain where to find it.
I checked the fuses, they are ok. I changed the fuses, still ok. Both the left and right turn signals work just fine.
The hazard light do not work either!!
Can anyone help, please? Urgent!

HELP! Where is the brake light switch located in 1996 Chevy Suburban 350?
It is located on the top of your brake pedal under the dash
the brake light switch has nothing to to with your hazards!
They run on an independant circuit!

Can I replace the brake light bulb on my audi a3 or do I need to take it to audi to do?
A brake light has gone on my audi a3 and I thought yep I'll just replace it but it's all panneled in. I have changed bulbs on Vw's with not hassle, just unclip the small panel and replace it but on the audi a3 it's all boxed in. How do I replace them?
Can I replace the brake light bulb on my audi a3 or do I need to take it to audi to do?
To change the bulb you will need to remove the rear light cluster. Inside the boot you will see a round coloured (same as interior trim) Remove this and you will see a bolt that needs to be removed and the whole light fitting will be free to remove and then you can access the rear of the light like you could on the other cars. Be careful not to let the light drop when you undo the bolt and also not to Over tighten it when re fitting.
Can I replace the brake light bulb on my audi a3 or do I need to take it to audi to do?
Its not to hard to do! Inside the boot behind the light cluster there is a blank plug that you need to pop out about the size of a 50p. In there you'll see a long plastic hex nut with a slot in it. It easier to use the screw driver in your spare wheel kit (probably designed for the job!). Unscrew this nut BE CAREFUL not to drop it in inside! You then need to hold the rear cluster by the inside edge (boot open) and pull it out a bit to clear the thread you have just removed the plastic nut from. Move the cluster outwards and sidewards which will pop the side of the light out of the side part of the bodywork. Its only held in by 2 plug style things in rubber gromets. The rest is simple, the bulbs are held on a circuit board like any other car in the back of the cluster. I would use phillips bulbs though, I put some cheap petrol station ones in and it kept blowing them! Hope this helps!dvd movies case programming

How do I reset the ABS light for brakes after changing the pads? Land Rover?
This is a 2006 Land Rover LR3
How do I reset the ABS light for brakes after changing the pads? Land Rover?
That ABS light has nothing to do with those pads. You have something else going on. the sensor to sense the wheel speed is close to the ring on the end of the axle. Wire might have come loose or the notches in the ring can be messed up. The abs sensor reads the notches by electro magnetic pulses. So something is telling the abs that its not reading or the abs module itself sensed a problem. It would be wise to find out what the ABS code is. run to aurtozone and see if they can read that code and then post it here so we can tell you where the real problem is.
the wheel speed sensors job is to sense when the wheel locks up (brakes lock the wheel) then it pulsates the brake fluid to the wheel to release the wheel so it doesnt skid. (lock up like older cars)
How do I reset the ABS light for brakes after changing the pads? Land Rover?
Changing the pads doesnt have anything to do with the ABS system. The ABS is an electronic system that senses when the wheel is in full lock, and then %26quot;pulses%26quot; the brakes. Pulling the battery will erase the code, but not fix the cause. Most likely you have a bad sensor or other problem in the ABS system
