Why is the brake light and ABS light coming on? 2001 Chevy Malibu?

I bled all the brakes, changed rotors, pads, shoes, no fix. When I first start the car it misses until these lights come and on then the car runs fine. Also, before the lights comeon and you hit the brakes you canhear a steady clicking through the brake pedal until the lights come on. The brakes work fine though.

Pull the code off your ECM with a scanner and then you will have the cause. Or, get yourself a Chilton's which will have the troubleshooting information. Sounds like it needs to be reset.

nothing youre going to fix randomly changing parts...take it to the pros.
You seem to have a bad ABS sensor. To reset your brakes trun the key to the on possion but do not start it. Press your brakes 3 times and then start the car. By doing this will reset your computer of any faults. Now start the car if it still comes on then you have a bad sensor. Its no big deal but you can have it replaced for a few bucks, or do it yourself. ABS is just a safty percaution when braking. Its not a requirement to have.
