How do i change the brake light in my Mk5 VW Golf 1.4s 56plate?

it seems when i move the carpet out of the way, there is just metal? how do i cahnge it?

There should be a plastic plate behind the light cluster in the boot but if not, then the light cluster will be screwed in from the outside. Don't get a BMW.

these golfs like peter said normaly have a plastic part which is where the bulbs are held in and ovioulsly have the wires plugged in and thats held in by the light itself u just need to uncatch all the clips/catches and it should be as easy as that. if u wana take your whole light out then the light is held in by two bolts in the car, undo then and it will just come off.
