i think u might have to take it to a dealer for it to be reset i havent heard anything on the new bmers or talk to a mech that works at bmw
check your owners Manuel.

under the steering wheel on drivers side there is a panel remove it, there is diagnosticplug ,stick scantool in and clear code .
