Lost owner's manual. How do you change brake light on 2005 Chevy Equinox?

These are the instructions from the book.

1. Remove the tail lamp screw covers. (located on assembly when back gate is lifted.)

2. Remove the tail lamp screws.

3. Carefully slide the tail lamp housing outward to clear the stud and then rearward and away form the body of the vehicle.

4. Turn the affected bulb socket counterclockwise to disconnect it form the tail lamp housing.

5. Pull the bulb out of the bulb socket.

6. Push the new bulb into the bulb socket.

7. Insert the bulb socket into the tail lamp housing and turn it clockwise until seated.

8. Re-install the tail lamp housing to the vehicle, install the tail lamp screws and screw covers.

1. Remove the tail lamp bolt covers (2). Open the rear door to access them.



2. Remove the tail lamp bolts (3).



3. Pull outward at the front of the tail lamp assembly to disengage the retainers from the body side.



4. Remove the bulbs from the tail lamp assembly.



5. Remove the tail lamp assembly from the vehicle.



6.Replace the bulb by twisting the socket.
