Should you change brake fluid when changing a transmission?

I had a new transmission put in my car, a week later my brake light comes on and they tell me someone put power steering fluid in my brakes. Now I need a new brake system.
Should you change brake fluid when changing a transmission?
You dont need brake fluid

You need a new mechanic.
Should you change brake fluid when changing a transmission?
sue the dang mechanic!
Either you need to do some reading in your car manual or else find a mechanic who knows what fluid goes where. Only an idiot would do that.
The two systems are independent of each other.

So changing a transmission doesn't necessarily mean you need to change your brakes/brake fluid.

However if it's been contaminated with another fluid, and someone really put power steering fluid in the brake system, yes you need to have your brake system flushed completely out.
they are not connected. so no.
