You`ve probably fitted a single filament bulb instead of a double.

check you have fitted the correct bulb . easily done - try the bulb from the other side .

most likely to be the wrong bulb, one of my friends had his rear brake light changed, and every time he pressed on the brakes his headlight flashed!



took the mechanis a while to figure out the problem, in the end it was just down to the wrong bulb!



to make sure you have the correct bulb, either take your old bulb down to the store to buy a new one, or refer to the maufactures booklet for bulb information (may not state the bulb needed), take it down to a FORD garage and ask for the bulb you need :)
