Help me diagnose a Brake Light problem for a 2000 Dodge Durango?

My driver's side brake light is completely out. All other brake lights, taillights, etc work perfectly. The brake light does not work when we push on the brake. We've tried changing the brake light bulbs. However, this did not correct the problem. Does anyone know what, where, the fuse is located for the drivers side brake light or any other possible solutions? (Brake Switch, Electrical Short, etc.) We would like to try to rectify the problem before spending budku bucks on labor.

try the fuse box under the hood

it could be a turn signal switch in the column. check to see if your left turn signal works on the back end. Also make sure that the left tail light works- just to double check for your own info. post more info when you get it.
There is no seperate fuse to driver or passenger side lights. Try the turn signal switch. Does that seem sloppy at all? Is there more play than normal in it? It could also be a short in the wire harness on the way back to the plug in. But, more than likely it could be it's something simple as usual. We always think and prepare for the worst, but never for the simple things. Good luck!!
if only one is out it not fuse its in the wiring or the ground for them, for that side,or its got the wrong bulb in it,if it was a fuse or a switch none of the would work so that's not the problem look for bad spot in the wiring near where the wires go in to socket where the bulb goes, and double check the bulb again ,if it was a short it would blow a fuse,so thats not the problem either you have lost power just to that one side, good luck,
