That ABS light has nothing to do with those pads. You have something else going on. the sensor to sense the wheel speed is close to the ring on the end of the axle. Wire might have come loose or the notches in the ring can be messed up. The abs sensor reads the notches by electro magnetic pulses. So something is telling the abs that its not reading or the abs module itself sensed a problem. It would be wise to find out what the ABS code is. run to aurtozone and see if they can read that code and then post it here so we can tell you where the real problem is.

the wheel speed sensors job is to sense when the wheel locks up (brakes lock the wheel) then it pulsates the brake fluid to the wheel to release the wheel so it doesnt skid. (lock up like older cars)

Changing the pads doesnt have anything to do with the ABS system. The ABS is an electronic system that senses when the wheel is in full lock, and then %26quot;pulses%26quot; the brakes. Pulling the battery will erase the code, but not fix the cause. Most likely you have a bad sensor or other problem in the ABS system
